Umbrello is an open source community effort.
We are always looking for people to participate in the development by fixing bugs and implementing new features.
Beasties and Feature Requests
If you find a problem with Umbrello we would like to know about it.
- Search for Umbrello entries on bugs.kde.org.
- If there is already an entry for your problem/feature you can vote on it or add a comment if you have more information.
- Otherwise create an entry. If it is a problem please include a step-by-step list of how to recreate it and if it is a crash please include a backtrace.
The easiest way to report a bug in Umbrello is to use the Help->Report Bug menu entry.
Mailing lists
There are three mailing lists for you keep up to date with the latest news. You do need to be subscribed to the lists to send to them.
uml-user@lists.sourceforge.net is a general discussion list about UML and Umbrello UML Modeller.
uml-devel@lists.sourceforge.net is for developers to discuss development of Umbrello UML Modeller. You can also post bugs to this list if you like.
uml-announce@lists.sourceforge.net is used to announce new releases of Umbrello UML Modeller.
Please do not send attachments to the list. They take up unnecessary room and bandwidth. Please upload them to a webserver and send us the URL. In the unlikely event that you do not have access to a webserver send them to Jonathan Riddell at the address below.
Please read the FAQ before asking questions on the lists.
IRC
You can try #umbrello on freenode.
Web pages and project administrator
Queries about the web pages and project administration should go to Jonathan Riddell, jr@jriddell.org (almost everything should go to the uml-devel mailing list though).
